Situated just a short drive from Arusha, Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania’s most unique and diverse national parks. Despite its relatively small size, the park contains a remarkable variety of habitats including rainforest, open grassland, volcanic craters, and alkaline lakes.
One of the park’s most iconic features is Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, which rises dramatically above the park’s landscapes. Visitors can also explore the beautiful Momella Lakes and the impressive Ngurdoto Crater, often called “Little Ngorongoro.” The park is home to giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, colobus monkeys, and a wide variety of birds.
