Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park is one of the key parks in the Northern Safari Circuit, along with Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Lake Manyara National Park.
The park is best known for its massive elephant populations and iconic baobab trees that dominate the landscape. During the dry season, wildlife gathers along the Tarangire River, making it one of the best places in Tanzania to witness large numbers of animals in one area.
Tarangire is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and more than 500 bird species, offering exceptional wildlife viewing in a quieter and less crowded safari environment.
