Days 1
Transfer to Kitulo National Park and Nature Walk
Your journey begins with a morning departure from Mbeya town followed by a scenic drive through beautiful highland landscapes toward Kitulo National Park. The drive takes approximately 2–3 hours and passes through rolling hills, tea farms, and small villages.
Upon arrival at the park gate, registration is completed before continuing into the park. You will enjoy a guided nature walk through the open grasslands where your guide will introduce you to the unique plant species found in this alpine environment.
During the walk you may see different varieties of orchids, colorful wildflowers, and several bird species that inhabit the highland ecosystem.
Lunch is served at a scenic picnic site inside the park while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Later in the afternoon, you continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge or guesthouse for dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day Exploration and Hiking in Kitulo
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the beautiful landscapes of Kitulo National Park. The park is famous for its large grassland plateau surrounded by mountains, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and nature photography.
During your guided hike, you will explore different sections of the park where thousands of seasonal flowers bloom, especially during the rainy season between November and April.
Bird watching is also one of the highlights here. The park hosts several rare and endemic bird species including the blue swallow and Denham’s bustard.
A picnic lunch is enjoyed inside the park while taking in the peaceful natural surroundings.
In the afternoon, continue exploring the park’s scenic areas before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
