Transfer to Mikumi National Park
Depart from Dar es Salaam and travel toward Mikumi National Park. After arrival and park entry, enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Stanley’s Kopje Camp: enjoys the advantage of being the only elevated land in an otherwise flat open plain. A nearby waterhole encourages game within sight of the Camp and the whole Mwanamboga area is generaly perceived to be the better game viewing area in the park.

Exploring Different

Another day is spent exploring different sections of Mikumi National Park. You may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and predators.

Ruaha River Lodge was the only safari camp in the national park for two decades, before Tanzania opened to international tourism. As a pioneer of its time this allowed for its prime position along the river and far from any other safari lodges.
Laba Jongomero Camp is the most secluded of the permanent lodges. Our only neighbor is the ranger post that ensures the security of the region. There is no bad safari season at Jongomero: even during the short rainy season from December to March, the vegetation explodes and the landscapes are of incredible beauty.
